We are sent by First Baptist Church of Lake Orion, MI through Grace Baptist Mission Board.
A Christian Heritage Janet and I were raised in Christian homes and grew up attending conservative, Bible-believing Baptist churches in Michigan. We each accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and were baptized as children. After high school we attended Christian colleges, where I received a degree in electrical engineering from Bob Jones University and Janet obtained a nursing degree from Cedarville University.
God's Providential Direction
It was during my college days that I first felt a pull toward foreign missions. In 2002, I spent the summer as a missionary intern in Tanzania, East Africa. It was there that I found I had a desire to return to Africa someday as a missionary. After taking several short-term missions trips, the Lord also laid a burden on Janet's heart for full-time missions.
We met at our home church, First Baptist of Lake Orion and were married in 2004. The Lord has since blessed us with three children: Carson, Kate, and Caden.
In 2009, I graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. We began pre-field ministry in fall of 2010, and finally arrived on the ground in Kenya in the summer of 2013.
